For the city maydralty there will 7® a clear-cut issue between the sitmayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer, nominee of the Labour Party, and Mr. ‘ P. Agar, nominated by the Citi2*n* Association. A total of 34 candidates has been nominated for the sixteen seats on the •ty council. Sixteen are Labour representatives, 16 are representatives of , • Citizens’ Association, and two are independents.
