Mr. Alan Moody returned by the Niagara yesterday from a visit to Sydney.
On the Niagara's passenger list is Mr. Warren Blyth, who left to-day on a trip to the United States.
The Hon. \V. H. Triggs, M.L.C., and Mrs. Triggs left for Wellington by train last evening.
Mr Sidney Thorne George will leave by the Niagara to-day for Honolulu. He will return to Auckland via Sydney.
Sir A. K. Young, Chief Justice of Fiji, is returning by the Niagara from a holiday visit to Australia.
Mr. M. Foley, of Remuera, accompanied by his four daughters, will leave by the Niagara to-day on a world tour.
Mr. J. S. Collett, chief clerk to the Tourist Department, arrived from Wellington on the Limited this morning.
Mr. G. G. Littlejohn, manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, Dargaville, has been taken to Te Kopuru Hospital, suffering from appendicitis.
Dr. G J. Hall and Mrs. Hall left Te Awamutu during the week-end en route to Sydney, intending to spend a few weeks holiday in Australia.
Sir George Elliot, chairman of directors of the Bank of New Zealand, and Lady Elliot, left by the Niagara today for England.
Bishop Cherrington left Hamilton for Taranaki yesterday. He will return to Hamilton for the Easter Day services.
Mr. \V. L. Puckley and Mr. C. R. Witington, of Reading, England, who have been touring New Zealand and are now staying at the Grand Hotel, are returning home shortly.
Mr. N. B. Freeman, Australian and New Zealand Director of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Corporation, is travelling oh the Niagara on his way to London.
Dr. C. E. A. Coldicutt and Mrs. Coldicutt sailed by the Niagara this afternoon for Canada, where they will apend some time before going on to England.
Mr. C. H. Kloster, of Sydney, accompanied by his sons, Messrs. G. W. and H. A. C. Kloster, and Mr. R. Millard. are passing through Auckland by the Niagara on a visit to America.
Mr. R. McK. McLennan, formerly transpacific manager of the Union Steam Ship Company at Wellington, and Mrs. McLennan left by the Niagara to-day, on a trip to England.
The Rev. S. La wry, who has been connexional secretary of the Methodist Church of New Zealand for the past 16 years, retired from that office yesterday. He is succeeded by the Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt, of Palmerston North.
Sir Amos Nelson, the well-known Lancashire coton-mill owner who, with Lady Nelson and their son and daughter, has been visiting the Dominion, returned to England this afternoon by the Niagara.
The Rev. J. E. Parsons, who has been appointed to St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Palmerston North, has just completed a successful ministry in one of the Auckland circuits.
Colonel J. Sclater, representative of the Canadian Pacific Railways in Australia and New Zealand, arrived by the Niagara yesterday, en route to Dunedin.
Mr. J. F. Lawson, formerly of Palmerston North and late of Sydney, who has been visiting Auckland, leaves on tie Niagara to-day for the United States, where he will join the service staff of the Chrysler Motor Corporation at Detroit.
