SOCIAL CLUB
GAS COMPANY EMPLOYEES At the annual meeting of the Auckland Gas Company’s Employees Social Club the report showed a very satisfactory state of affairs, and it is hoped that a large majority of the members will join the organisation. The entertainment side of the club will he in the capable hands of Messrs. Broadribb, Bruce, Bulcock, Griffiths, and Bridges. During the session it is proposed to devote two or three evenings to educational subjects concerning the gas industry, and at least one evening will be devoted to memberS, when it is hoped that each one present will give his experience on the road and so be a means of helping one another. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. Lowe; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. Ashton, Collins, J. Evans, Levick, Rapson, Rogers, and Woollams; chairman, A. D. Campbell; deputy chairman, A. Gow; secretary and treasurer, R. Wilson; general committee, Messrs. Wilkin, Potter, Golding, Jepson, Bridges, Griffiths. Bulcock. Bruce, and Broadribb; press representative, J. C. Sibbin. The first social will be held on Thursday, May 5, and it is hoped that as many employees as possible will be present with their wives and lady friends.
