NEW BOARD APPOINTED DR. REAKES CHAIRMAN (From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON. Monday. The personnel of the Veterinary Surgeons’ Board has been announced by the Hon. O. J. Hawken. The members are the Registrar, Dr. C. J. Reakes, C.8.E.D., V.Sc., M.R.C.V.S. (who is also chairman), Mr. A. M Brodie, M.R.C.V.S., of Hastings; Mr. H. S. S. Kyle. M.P., G.M.V.C., of Christchurch, Mr. W. C. Barry. M.R.C.V.5.,. district superintendent of the Department of Agriculture (Wellington). Dr. Reakes is appointed by the Governor-General from among the veterinary surgeons in the employment of the Department of Agriculture; Mr. Brodie is appointed on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture; and Messrs. Kyle and Barry on the recommendation of the New Zealand Veterinary Association (incorporated).

The members of the board, with the exception of the registrar, will hold office for three years with the right of reappointment.
