ARBITRATION COURT

The next sittings of the Abritration Court in Auckland will commence on April 26. There are at present six disputes set down for hearing, concerning united furniture trades, electrical trades (switchboard operators), painters (leadlight workers), ship, yacht and boat builders, and general labourers. An application for amendment to the Cooks and Stewards’ Award concerning Northern coastal shipping companies and the award covering front-of-house theatre employees and picture houses will also be considered. There are a number o compensation cases also to tie dealt with.
