NAVAL CHAMPION WINS
SYDNEY, Sunday. At the Sydney Stadium last evening Stoker Cockerell, of the battle-cruiser Renown, the former bantam champion of the British Navy, defeated Jimmy Kelly, ex-bantam champion of Australia. in the 12th round on a foul. Cockerell received a heavy right to the groin. At the Melbourne Stadium Fairhall knocked out Jack Jones in the ninth, round of a lively contest.—A. and N.Z.
