CLOTHING STOLEN
STORE BROKEN INTO GOOD HAUL BY THIEVES Clothing, the estimated value of is £SO, was stolen from the 1-nion Jack Stores, 340 Dominion Road, during the week-end. A passer-bv yesterday afternoon noticed that the &oods in tffe shop window were disarranged and that the lr °n gateway across the main door was opened. He informed Mr. R. A. Hughes, the proprietor, who made a search of the premises. It was found that after attempting the front and rear doors the intruders had been foiled. They then turned their attention to a window at the bark and had gained entrance by wrenching off some iron bars which were set in concrete. Mr. Hughes discovered that suits of clothes, cardigans, shirts, pyjamas, and ° V if- rcoa * s w ere missing from the store, which had been carefully exploited by the intruders. The same store was broken into übout a year ago and £ 150 worth of Soods stolen.
