THE DUKE’S REQUEST
HOLIDAYS FOR SCHOOLS A WEEK AT EASTER School children throughout New Zealand will not quickly forget the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York. According to a request made by the Royal visitors prior to their departure the occasion will be further celebrated by extra holidays at Easter. Usually the children have only had five days, but this year Thursday, April 14, and the following Wednesday, April 20, will be added, making a full week’s holiday for. all school children throughout the Dominion. A sports meeting for the pupils of city and suburban schools will be held in the Domain grounds next Thursday.
