Jack Ross, a New Zealander, employed as a cook, was found at the edge of the Gap, Watson’s Bay, with a bullet wound in the temple. A revolver was found at his side. On the way to the hospital the ambulance he was driven in collided with a tram, the escorting police-sergeant and constable receiving cuts and bruises, but Ross was not touched.
