' WORK IN HAND OVERSEER APPOINTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, To-day. Mr. Park, overseer of the Public Works Department, has been transferred from Gisborne to Waihi to take charge of the Waihi-Whangamata Road relief works, which it is expected will be put in hand shortly. Senior-Sergeant Mac Lean, as inspector of factories, has been appointed agent for unemployed and agent of the Labour and Public Works Departments. Already several applications for employment have been received.
