ACCIDENTS TO WORKERS

ADMISSION TO HOSPITAL Injuries to the spine were received by a waterside worker, Mr. H. J. Raxklinder, aged 36, of 159 Grey Street, yesterday afternoon, through a bag of sugar falling on him whilst he was engaged in working at the Colonial Sugar Company’s works at Chelsea. He was later admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Mr. McGregor Boyd, a farm hand, employed by Mr. R. C. Wallace, of Mangere, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital suffering from severe burns on his arms and hands which were caused by boiling tar. His condition on enquiry at the hospital this afternoon was stated to be satisfactory.
