MOTOR ACCIDENT
CYCLE AND CAR A MAN INJURED While he was travelling to work on his motor-cycle this morning, Eric Millar, 23 years, a motor mechanic employed by the Auckland Motor Company, met with an accident, his machine crashing into a car. Mr. Millar was travelling up Victoria Street, coming from his home at Freeman’s Bay, when a car owned and driven by Mr. L. Jenkinson, a master plumber of V ‘ oria Street, travelling just in front o dm, turned across just as Millar was about to overtake it. Mr. Millar, speaking of the accident afterwards, said, he saw no indication as to the driver’s intentions and had not the time to prevent the collision. The front wheel of his machine crashed into the car and he had his leg trapped between the rear mudguard of the car and his motor-cycle. The injured man was taken to the hospital.
