W.E.A

PAPAKURA BRANCH (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAPAKURA, To-day, The preliminary meeting of members and intending members of the W.E.A. was held in the Papakura District School on Wednesday, March 30, when Mr. L. A. Mander, M.A., director, presided over a very satisfactory attendance. Several new members were enrolled, and the session promises to prove a successful one. Mr. Mander outlined a proposed course of lectures, which will prove exceedingly interesting and instructive. It was decided to hold a public meeting on April 11, at which Mr. Mander' will outline the aims and objects of the movement and give an introductory lecture. It was also decided that the meetings be held fortnightly and in a more convenient and central meeting place than the school. A successful season is assured when once the benefits of the movement are realised by those at present outside it.
