The town of Brookline. Mass., with its population of 47.000 and a reputa-s tion as “the richest town in the United States,” has just completed its fifth year without a motion picture theatre. Indeed, it has never had a movie house, although before 1921 a few pictures were shown in halls. Not even that happens now.
