JOHN B. O’HARA DEAD MELBOURNE, Thursday. The death has occurred of Mr. John Bernard O’Hara, the well-known poet, aged 63.—A. and N.Z. John Bernard O’Hara, born at Bendigo in 1864, was one of Australia’s leading poets. After attending Melbourne University he was appointed principal of the South Melbourne College. In 1880, he won a prize for poetry at the Melbourne Industrial Exhibition. He has published many volumes of verse.
