NEGLIGENT DRIVING
A FINE OF FIVE POUNDS (From Our Owxi Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. A fine of £5 for negligent driving was imposed on a Hamilton taxidriver. John William Hains worth, by Mr Wyvern Wilson. S.M., to-day. The police stated defendant was returning from Te Aroha races with a drunken passenger, and had himself partaken of liquor. At 10.30 on a wet night he knocked the horse "Paddon” down in Bridge Street. Hamilton.
