MINING STOCKS QUIET FEW SALES AT CALLS Business was quiet and the market generally dull on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning. Few sales were transacted at the calls, the majority of the recorded sales being reported. \ Mining stocks are quiet, with some of the shares which have been most active of late weaker. Miscellaneous stocks are mostly idle, but a fairly, strong tone is registered for gilt-edged securities. P. and O. (def. stock) have hardened several points during the last day or so.
