TAKAPUNA BOROUGH
MEETING OF COUNCIL The ordinary meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council was held last evening, the mayor. Mr. J. D. Morison, presiding. Present: Councillors Williamson, Matthews, Suckling, Gaudin. Wilkie, Greville, Creamer and Collin c - A request was received from the Milford Ratepayers’ Association for expenditure of £2O (material only) for the completion of Kitchener Parx tennis courts, the labour to be supplied voluntarily.—lt was referred to a committee, including the engineer, with power to act. Plans for subdivision of Blomfield s and Buckley’s properties were approved and plans for Gannon’s and Hamilton’s estates were referred to the works committee. It was agreed to supply Captain Aigie with 50 yards of metal at half-cost in consideration of facilities given by him in construction of sewage wortsThe Takapuna Cricket Club asked that the playing area in Tahuroto Road be put into proper order for next season. The engineer’s estimate of the cost was £l5O. It had previously been decided to subdivide and sell the area. A notice of motion to rescind the resolution was given, an it was decided to give a recommendation to the incoming council to carr> out the work, subject to the motio to rescind being carried.
