RAPID PROGRESS
PEOPLE'S HEALTH SOCIETY In the three years of its existence the People's Health Society has made rapid strides. Founded for the purpose of providing treatment for people who are not able to afford the usual expenses of medical treatment, the society has now 250 members. During the last year the clinic has treated 41 patients and half that number are now undergoing attention. This was revealed last night when the first annual meeting of the society was held in the Leys Institute Hall at Ponsonby. Mr. H. McLeod was elected president; Mr. R. S. Mackay, secretary; and Miss O. Young, treasurer. The committee consists of Messrs A. McDonald, W. H. Terry, Mesdames Cooper, Hyams, Dreaver, Maine, Mooney, Faulkner, Smith, and Misses Hay, and Salmon.
