SALVATION ARMY'S NEW HALL

CEREMONY AT EDENDALE An eloquent tribute to the ever increasing activities of the Salvation Army was paid by Colonel C. Knott, the New Zealand secretary, when he opened the Army’s new hall in Oxton Road, Edendale, on Saturday. Mr. L. E. Rhodes, Mayor of Mount Albert, also spoke of the splendid work that the Army is doing oil over the world. At the dedication service which was conducted by Lieut.-Colonel Toomer, the new building was so crowded that many had to stand. Music for the service was supplied by the Eden Silver Band. A flag which has been presented to the new corps by the Onehunga branch was handed over by Colonel Knott during the afternoon.
