Mr David M. Todd, second officer of Makura, has been appointed junior pilot of the Wellington Harbour Board, and takes up duty on May 1. He is a son of Captain David Todd, senior master in the Union Company’s service. The new pilot’s sea experience has all been with the same company. His elder brother was also in the Union Company’s service, and lately second officer of the Manuka.
