PIGEON FLYING
NEW CLUB FORMED WHANGAREI ORGANISATION (From Our Oicn Correspondent.) WHANGAREI. To-day. fifteen homer pigeon fanciers attended the inaugural meeting of the Whangarei-Xorthern Flying Club on Friday evening, when it was decided to hold the first race from Hamilton on September 3 and another on November 19 ffom Christchurch, with shorter flights between these dates. The championship journey from Blenheim to Whangarei will be decided on. December 10. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. A. Pickering; secretary, Mr. Bradley; com nittee, Messrs J. Naughton. J. Baker, Andrews and Elliott.
