THE BUTTER MARKET
POSITION SATISFACTORY LONDON, Saturday. Although the better market at the end of the week was quiet the position is generally regarded as being satisfactory. Buying in the early part of the week was on a large scale and the big retailers were much in evidence, as well as American and Canadian buyers, who took considerable quantities of choicest Australian and New Zealand for export. It is interesting to note that while Dominion-and Argentine batters advanced the prices of Danish and Dutch remained unchanged. This is apparently due to the prospect of an increasing Continental production.—A. and N.Z.
