Following is the result : GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE. (Of 100 so vs. each for starters, with 5,000 so vs. added; second horse 700 sovs., third 400 sovs, fourth 150 sovs.: winner to receive trophy value 200 sovs. Four miles and N 56 yards. > SPRIG, Mrs M. Partridge's. lOj-rs, 12.4 1 BOVRIL 111.. G. W. Pennington’s, 9yrs. 10.12 2 BRIGHT’S BOY, Stephen Sanford’s. Syrs, 12.7 3 Thirty-seven started, and the favourite, Sprig, won by a length. The winner is trained at Newmarket by T. Leader, and the second and third horses by Blackwell and Cockton respectively.
