INGA ROAD BRIDGE
DELAY IN COMPLETION RATEPAYERS OBJECT At a meeting of the Waitemuta County Council yesterday, a deputation of ratepayers from the east coast bays waited on the council urglnS that opposition be made to the application of the Takapuna Borough Council for an extension of 12 months for completing the construction of the new Inga Road bridge at Milford.^ After discussion, it was decided not to oppose the extension provided that assurance was given that the work 'vould be completed within the given time, and a passable motor road provided by September. Reporting on the —*r>sed concreting of the Titirangi Rond, the engineer recommended that a conference of the local bodies concerned be called to consider the distribution of the cost. The riding member, and the engineer were given power to act in the matter. The need for metalling Sturges’s Rf>ad. near Henderson, was urged by a. deputation from the Henderson Valley Ratepayers' Association, It \Vas decided to obtain a report from the engineer. » Tenders for the following works were accepted: Archibald Road water supply, W;iikumete riding, Mr. A.
