Captain J. Flynn, who has been standing by at Auckland, left for Wellington last night for orders. Mr. A. Inman lias joined the Tofua as chief officer, vice Mr. G. Lt. Fraser. Captain S. Jones lias superseded Captain W. Clark as master of the A wah oil. Mr. G. Duthie, chief engineer of the Gael, has left the vessel. WAINUI WITH MARORO. —The Union Company advise that the steamer Wainui left Gisborne at 9 a.m. •this'morning with the schooner Maroro in tow. Both vessels are due here at 7 a.m. on Monday. RUAHINE DUE TO-MORROW.— The N.Z. Shipping Company advise that the liner Ruahine left Wellington at 3.30 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. On arrival here to-morrow she will berth at the Queen’s Wharf to discharge her London cargo. NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER The Union Company advise that the R.M.S. Niagara from Vancouver via ports left Suva at noon yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Monday morning. In the meantime the vessel is announced to sail at 9 p.m. the same day for Sydney. She berths at East Prince’s Wharf. SYDNEY STEAMER. —With passengers, mails and cargo the Union Company’s inter-colonial passengei steamer Maunganui left Sydney at 3 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. MATAROA COMING.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa sailed from London on Thursday for Auckland and Wellington. After embarking passengers at Southampton the vessel resumed her voyage yesterday. She is due at this port on April du. REMUERA HOME. —The local office of tiie New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Remuera readied Southampton from New Zealand on Thursday. Slid was despatched from Wellington on rebiuary 15. CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. —An expected arrival to-morrow is the Kaitangata from Melbourne, with cargo virom South Australian ports. She will unload a quantity of cargo at Prince’s Wharf and the remainder at Portland. HOMEWARD BOUND.— En route from Lyttelton to London, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Napier reached Panama last Wednesday. She sailed from Lyttelton on February 25. CITY OF KIMBERLEY ARRIVES.— The A. and A. line steamer City of Kimberley, from New York, arrived at Auckland at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. Alter pratique was granted she berthed at the Prince’s Wharf. For this voyage she loaded a cargo of general merchandise and case oil at New fork, from whence she sailed on February 2_. Fine weather was experienced to Colon, where she arrived on February 27. Transit through the Panama Canal was given the following day, and the voyage thence to Auckland was made in fine weather. The City of Kimberley carries a staff of white officers and has a mixed crew of Malays on deck and Indians below. Captain R. W. Crome is in command, and has associated with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr. W. Carter; second officer, Mr. J. C. Smith; third officer, Mr. R. Williamson; wireless operator, Mr. W. Addington; chief engineer, Mr. J. C. Bagshaw; second, Mr. Paul; third, Mr. Duthie; fourth, Mr. Crighton; fifth, Mr. Mitchell; and Mr. E. Butcher is chief steward. The New Zealand Shipping Co., the local agents, hope to dispatch the vessel at noon on Monday for Welling ton, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete her discharge. TOFUA'S PASSENGERS. The Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua, which leaves Auckland this afternoon for Pacific Islands, is taking the following passengers:—First class: Messrs Baker, Andrews, Sutherland, Johnston, Potter, Jamieson, Headurd, Westley, Reedy, Boorman, Cahen, Smith.
