Veitch, M.P., having accepted the leadership of the recuscitat€»d Liberal Party, he now has definitely decided not to contest the mayoral election, as he would be unable to give sufficient time to the position. Mr. Veitch has received numerous telegrams from all parts of the Dominion assuring him of support. Speaking on the Liberal policy, Mr. Veitch says that many statements made in the Press are quite erroneous. The policy has never been considered or discussed.
