RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“WE’RE IN THE NAVY NOW” The picture which is being shown at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, traces the lives of a prize-fighter and his manager from the day they innocently join the Navy till their final return to the ring. If you don’t believe it to be chock full of shrieks, listen to one typical situation. After having been vamped by a nurse aboard ship, the boys are asked to take her over the side in a row-boat. They do this and she suddenly vanishes into thin air. Lost in a fog, their boat is cut in two by an immense dreadnought, Picked up by rescuers, they tell of their adventures with a whole fleet of submarines. Then—but why continue? “We re in the Navy Now” is really a life-saver in a sea of inferior productions.
