The Rev. H. G. Hercus, who has been j n charge of the Hamilton Baptist Church for the past 12 years, left by tbe Ulimaroa 13-day for Sydney, where he will take up an appointment with the Burton Street Baptist Church. yjr. W. Waddel, superintendent of the State Advances Office, Wellington, left by the Ulimaroa for Sydney today. en route to England and the Continent. He was accompanied by Mrs. Wsddel and their daughters. Mr. Noel Gibson, headmaster of the pilworth Institute, left by the Ulimaroa for Sydney to-day on his way to England. He will be absent from ~nd for about eight years. Mr. A. H. Fryer-Raisher will be in charge of the institute during Mr. Gibson’s absence. Mr. T. Bloodworth left this morning for Hamilton :o attend a special meeting of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. Mr. A. J. Stratford, president of the Auckland Justices’ Association, and Messrs. R. T. Michaels and Dawson Donaldson, Auckland delegates to the justices’ conference, are at present in Dunedin. Colonel F. B. Creswell, of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland by the United this morning, and is staying with his daughter, Mrs. E. Bullock, Westboume Road, Remuera. Mr. A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited. Mr. C. A. Ramsay and Mr. L. G. Davies who have been staying at the Central Hotel, left by the Ulimaroa yesterday for Sydney. Mr. G. Halse, of Whangarei, who has been staying at the Central Hotel, returned ':n.*nip this morning.
