A HAPPY EVENT
ROTARY CLUB SOCIAL President and Mrs. W. Coltman were the host and hostess last evening at a very successful social evening organised by the Rotary Club that took place in the Pacific Club rooms, Wellesley Street. Mrs. Coltman received her guests in a delightful gown of palest petunia georgette, effectively trimmed with silver traceries of beading and a pretty inlet vest of silver lame. Danciifg, bridge, billiards and a number of s musical items were enjoyed throughout the evening, those contributing songs being: Miss Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Anstiss, Mr. Barry Coney and Mr. Wilfrid Manning. A delightful supper was served at ten o’clock, the tables in the diningroom being beautifully decorated with large bowls of vivid autumn flowers. Mr. E. Bell acted as accompanist during the vocal items. A very pleasing feature of the social was the fact that so many overseas Rotarians and their wives were present. The guests included the following: Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Shanly, Mr. and Mrs. E. C.
