“BILL’S” DINNER SUIT
W. Cunningham, the Canterbury cricketer, is a bit of a wag in his way. At a complimentary luncheon in Christchurch the other day, the mayor, Rev. J. K. Archer, weighed in with a humorous sally. - ‘We all know Cunningham in Sydenham as Bill,” said the Labour mayor, “but I suppose ‘Bill’ will be ‘Mr. Cunningham’ in England.” Quick as a flash “Bill” chipped in ‘They will call me more than that when they see me in my dinner suit!”
