OFF THE RAILS

MISHAP IN STATION YARD A big 90-ton railway engine left the rails in the Auckland Railway Station yard this morning. While shunting at No. 7 platform soon after 7 o’clock the locomotive went through the trap points. • No damage was done, except that the wheels of the engine sank slightly into the permanent way. There was no delay in other shunting or train operations. Railway workmen and officials worked most of the day to return the engine to the rails.
