TOO MANY PALMERSTONS CHANGE IN NAME WANTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON NORTH, To-day. The Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce, at its monthly meeting, lecided to urge upon the borough council the necessity of changing the name of the town from Palmerston North to Manawatu. It was claimed there were five Palmerstons in the world, and a change of name would result in avoidance of mistakes in the delivery of telegrams, and the elimination of confusion and wrongful delivery of goods from abroad.
