New High Commissioner.—AlajorGeneral Sir Granville Ryrie has been chosen to succeed Sir Joseph Cook as Australia’s High Commissioner in London. During the Great War he commanded the Second Light Horse Brigade in the Australian Forces.— A. and N.Z. Canadian Railways.—The annual report of the Canadian National Railways}, tabled in the House on Wednesday, showed that the net earnings for 1926 were 48,225,000 dollars, an increase of 44 per cent, over the previous year,—A. and N.Z.
