STRONG CLASS FOR BUTTER THIRTEEN FACTORIES ENTER (From Our Own Correspondent.) Several further entries have been received for the butter competitions at the forthcoming Winter Show, and the number of factories now competing m the various classes has reached 13 The cup presented by Messrs R. and W. Aavidson, Ltd., of London, for the best box of butter suitable for export, has drawn three more contestants — Kadtaia, Aria (near Te Kuiti) and Te Awamutu —and a wire from Tauranga states that entries for classes A, B and C are forthcoming.
Mercury Bay has entered for class B alone. This is for a box of butter suitable for export and manufactured under the best conditions. Others taking part in this class are Aria, Te Awamutu and Kaitaia, which brings the total number to nine. In class C. which is for a box of butter made by a buttermaker or manager’s first assistant, further entries are notified from Aria and Kaitaia.
