RAILWAY ROLLING STOCK After a particularly busy period, the Railway Department again has sufficient trucks at its disposal to meet all demands. The Divisional Superintendent, Mr. E. Casey, stated yesterday that a few weeks ago it had been necessary to draw trucks from all parts of the North Island to meet the demand in Auckland. There were several overseas vessels in port at the same time, the Westfield, Otahuhu, and Te Papapa phosphate and fertiliser works were working overtime. Trucks were in great demand. Those loaded from the ships were run directly to farmers in the country. Apart from the fertilisers and phosphates, there was also a large quantity of coal and general goods to be removed.
