DIXIELAND

A CABARET BY THE SEA The dance-loving people of Auckland are fortunate in having such a beautiful cabaret as Dixieland, only a quarter of an hour’s drive from the heart of the city. The cabaret is situated on Point Chevalier sea front, and the delightful sea breezes, continually fanning the magnificent ballroom, create a pleasing atmosphere. The spacious seating accommodation provides all the comfort one could wish for, with lounges and easy chairs, etc., amid alluring surroundings. The cabaret is decorated with great taste, with shaded lights of variegated colours, blending harmoniously with the hanging streamers suspended above the dance floor. The greatest feature, and the most important of all. is the Dixieland Orchestra, the famous International Seven, under the leadership of Mr. Maurice Oilman.
