NOTHING DOING
PREMISES RAIDED POLICE REMOVE GOODS KHYBER PASS ROAD HERBALIST Thera is nothing doing at 56 Khyber Pass Road to-day. At a comparatively early hour this morning detectives raided the premises arid detained the owner, ■ A. W. M. Salaman, who carried on business there as an Indian herbalist. It is stated that a large quantity of goods was removed from the premises to the police station. Soon after Salaman opened his shop for business this morning a police van and two motor-cars arrived with a number of detectives. These were loaded with goods from Salaman’s shop and his manufacturing premises in the rear To-day the premises are closed and there is no sign of any activity about the building. There were shutters over the door and the window. At the end of a passageway leading into the back of the building there is a door on which is written "Manufacturing. No Admittance. Strictly Private.”
