Haddon, M.A., has arrived in Dunedin from Melbourne to become principal of the Churches of Christ Theological College for New Zealand, which will be opened this year. J. Bertinshaw, inspecting engineer of the Railway Department Wellington, arrived in Auckland by the Daylight Limited last evening on Departmental business. Although no official announcement has yet been made it is thought likely that the Director-General of Agriculture, Dr. C. J. Reakes, will be selected to represent New Zealand at the agricultural conference organised by the British Ministry of Agriculture. The conference is to be held in October. The Tauranga Chamber of Commerce has elected Mr. R. Rutter president for the ensuing year.
