On Monday last tlie aclionnor Edith from Auckland via thu Eriendlies entered our harbour. Coptnin Hughe* reports having met with moderate weather on tho run from Auckland to Tongatabu, which was accomplished in 1:1 days. Mr. Meats, supercariro »f tin' Edith reports that business is moderately brisk in the sister Group. Tho schooner Eakaofo left this port for Quiros Island on Saturday last. Tho barque Horonimils left our harbour for Tongatabu last Saturday. .She will ■ complete loading in the Friendly Group, j proceeding thonce to Europe. This vessel's name wrongly appeared in our last issue as '• Horonimns." Tho schooner Daphne sailed from this port for Kiafon, and tho other outlying, westerly islands on Thursday. Tho L.M.S. barque John Williams has been wind-hound ill this portjsince Tuesday, and as w" go to press there is no appoaraneu of any favorable change in the wind. Tho barque Margaret Blohm, from Hamburg on tho ISth April last, whose arrival in this port lias long been anxiously looked for is now considered by her consignees hero to have been lost. We understand this vessel had a valuable cargo on board, including a large shipment, of beer, and her non-ar-rival will prove u serious drawback to the German firm here to whom she was consigned.
