"Whilst regretting that the appointment will sever the connection which for so many years has identified Mr. Solomon with the interests of this journal, and will for the future deprive it of his valuable assistance.and supervision, we still most heartily congratulate him upon tho marked acknowledgement of his talent anil ability which has secured for him this legitimate promotion in the ranks of his profession. The Government and the public at large are also to be congratulated upon having seen red the sen-ices of a gentleman sn thoroughly well qualified to discharge the duties r»f his onerous position. No assurance is wanting to confirm the knowledge that the dignity of the silk grown, that most legitimate object of all forensic ambition, will be worthily upheld whilst it graces the shoulders upon which it has descended and with this conviction we wish the new leader of tho Bar every success and continued prosperity.—Fiji Time's Aug. 21.
