No British subject resident in the Navigator's Islands shall sell arms or ainuuition without a license to that effect under the hand of H.B.M. Consul or iJeputy Gorniiiissioiier, which license such Consul or Deputy Gonimissioner is hereby authorized if he see fit to issue, subject to the following provisions. 11. Every license issued under this Regulation sliall specify the name of the party to whom it is issued, and his residence, and the number of arms and the amount of ainuuition which he is licensed to sell, and every such liceu main in force until the :i Ist day of Deemher in the year in which it is issued and no longer. IV. A fee of one shilling shall bo payable on the issue of every such license. V. No such license shall be issued to any British subject unless he have previously entered into a Bond to llor .Majestv the Queen, so conditioned that lie engages to forfeit to Her Majesty the sum of Eifty Pounds sterling should he sell any arms or animation to any native of Samoa, or any native of any island in the Pacific Ocean ; and every such Bond shall have two good and sufficient sureties lo the satisfaction of the IJeputy Commissioner or Consul. VI. Every license to sell arms and amimilion shall be ipso facto cancelled on proof before the High Commissioner's Court (hat the holder of it has sold any arms or amunitiim to any native of Samoa or of anv island in the .Pacific Ocean, and the holder thereof shall be liable to the same penalties as if he had sold arms or ammunition without license. Said lauds being those formerly belonging to the Central Polynesia Laud and Commercial Co. Such interference or protended sale will be wholly unlawful and void, and the persons concerned therein will be dealt with according to law. All persons are hereby warned against buying any part of said lauds or any interest therein or claim thereto by virtue of such interference) or pretended sale, as such purchaser will acquire no right or title whatever to the said lauds, and will he treated as a trespasser.
