Said lands being those formerly belonging to the Central Polynesia Land and Commercial Co. .Such interference or pretended sale will bo wholly unlawful and void, and the persons concerned, therein will be dealt with according to law. All persons are hereby warned against buying any part of said lands or any interest therein or claim thereto by virtue of such interference or pietended sale, as such purchaser will acquire no right or title whatever to the said lands, and will be treated as a trespasser. If any British subject in Samoa sells, gives, or otherwise supplies to any native Sunioan, or any native of any island in the Pacific Ocean resident in Samoa any wine spirts or other intoxicating liquors, he shall on conviction thereof before the ('ourt of Her Majesty's High Commissioner be liable to a penalty not exceeding Ten Pounds, mid in default of payment shall bo liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one mouth. 11. If it shall appear to tho Court that such wine or spirits huvo been given bona lido for medicinal purposes or other cause which shall in the judgment of tho Court be reasonable and sullicient it shall be lawful for tho Court to remit tho penalties hereinbefore provided.
