Times Olliee, Friday Evening. Buiiug the past week tho principle business has boon transacted through tho auctioneers; Mr. Hunt, on Monday, had a sale if general morchaudis?, and Mr. Alvord. on Tuesday, had one of 100,000 feet of pine lumber which brought, on tho average, 2c per foot. Tho following arc tho prices realised for a few of the leading linos of the general merchandise:—CoversioiiT'iibrandy, »7:00,- Duuvill'i whiskey, 35:70; Hob Koy whiskey, 54:75 schnapps, 84:50; Clnrt, •5:05; raisins 15c per lb; Now Zeal a d *6*p (lewt boxes) 85:00; 26 mats light counter sugar, 9c per lb; kerosene, 83:28 ; nogrohead tobacco, 28c perlfe. A considerable quantity of goods were passed in consequent upon not nttaining a satisfactory price.
