May Meeting.—On Wednesday next the annual May meeting of the Apia district, of the Loudon Mission Society, will take place in Apia. Donations towards the support of the London Mission Society will be received by the Rev. Dr. Qt. A. Turner.

The Apia Bridge. —The breach in approach to the bridge which connects Apia with Matafele, was thoroughly repaired by the Tuamusaga Government, on Tuesday morning The thanks of the foreign residents ate therefore due t> this body for the prompt and substantial manner in which they accomplished this work. We hope they will continue in the way they have begun, and thereby prove that they are more worthy the name of Government than those who have hitherto claimed that title. Daring Robbery.—Between 3 and 4 o'clock on the morning of Thursday last the house of Ah Sue, at Matafele, was entered and a box containing §3OO taken therefrom. The burglars must have been keeping a pretty good watch upon the house, for Ah Sue had only been out of his room about a quarter of an hour, during which the robbery was perpetrated. The scoundrels took out to lower sash of the N.E. window, entered the house, and picking up the box, which was just inside the bed-room door, made their exit by the front door. Ah Sue's wife was awoke by the noiß3 made by the burglars opening the front door, and missin" the box from its accustomed place, rau out to to inform hor husband, who, being a baker, was engaged at his work in the bakehouse. Hearing a noise in the vicinity of the rear of the British Consulate, Ah Sue ran across, just in time to see two natives decamping with his money, they having succeeded in breaking open the box as he hove in sight. The description of the money taken is £4O in English sovereigns, part of which have the word " Australia " upon the counter part, and the remainder have a crown; also one hundred Mexican dollars. As Mexican dollars are not very plentiful, it would be well if storekeepers and others would take particular notice of the individual who presents such coins.
