The steamer Ssi lsee took her departure, •on Tuesday last, for a cruise in the Tonga tGrflup. The Leadon Mission Society's barque, John Williams, arrived in harbour on Sunday morning last. On the 4th anchored at Apia, and after landing goods for this group the ship will proceed 4o Tahiti direct On "Wednesday last the schooner Fogoloa returned from Tutuila and Manua, with u full cargo *f island produce. The ship La Bochelle arrived in harbour, from Fiji, on Thursday last £hehas on board some fifty tons of copra, a quantity of-coston. tram Fiji, and original cargo from Sydney. Having passed Ihe passsga before the pilot boarded her, and a strong,southerly wind blowing, she had therefore to make a few boards to get in. She was standing in to enter the passage, bat not holding well to windward, Mag aader easy sail, she was put about, or rather it was attempted, for she missed stays. Sho was then kept away, and before getting away on tho other tack, her stern was almost iu the breakers; to those on shore she appeared to have struck, but we believe there waa about twenty yards to spare, altogether too elese for a vessel of her size.
