The barque had been fitted out from Sydney for the boche-lc-mor trade, and had just completed rocruiting and preliminary works vheu she drove ashore in Api. The captain of tho Aurora bought tho wreck for £IOO. Having taken in sufficient yams and firewood, we started for Havannah Harbour, Sandwich Island, discharged boat's crew, filled up water and firewood, and started with E.S.E. and S.E. wind for Samoa on tho 24th of August; sighted Kadavu, Fiji, on tho Ist of September. Wind hauling due E., we stood S., it blowing a gale we hovo to for three days and then stood N. again; sighted Kadav u again after eight days. Getting short of food and firewood, put in to Tavuki Harbour; remained there three days and started again for Samoa with strong east, east-south-east, and south-east winds, arriving iu Apia On the 21st inst., at 10 a.m., having made the passage from Sandwich to Samoa iu twentytight days. All well on board. On Sunday morning last the barquo Eoconuaissanco arrived in harbour from Sydney, via tho Friendly islands. Captain Hawkins has handed us tho following report of the passage :—Loft Sydney ou tho 11th of August, and experienced W. and S. W. winds till sighting Eoa, on the 25th, fourteen duys out; thence to Tongatubu, which was reached on tho 28th, after a passage of seventeen daye, light airs and cabas. Landed eight horaes and cargo, and sailed fir Huabai on S.'plombor 6th. Experienced strong gales and squally weather, with tho ■wind E.N.E. and high confused sea running. Or. Monday the nth arrived at Haabai, where irj saw the following barques : Elzo, Bolild, andMetOor. On tho 13th, sniled for Vavau, and hail light airs from the south. At noon on the 21th arrived at Vavau, mid saw the barquo Theresa there, which left for Tonga and Fiji .m the 18th, On the 10th sailed for Samoa, and at noon exchanged colours with tho schooner Energy. Experienced moderate breeze and line weathor; sighted Upolu on the 21st, and arrived in port on tho 22nd.
