The schooner Olosega arrived in harbour, on Thursday morning lust, from Xew llritain, via Yavau, ha\ mg put into the latter port for thopurpose oi exfecting a few uetessary repairs. The Danish barque Dora arrived in harbour on Thursday afternoon lust, from MoIttudo (South America;, after a passage of thirty-three days. Wo learn that a steamer of some 1100 tons has been purchased iu Sydney for Die Factored von .1. 0. GudcfiToy and Sohn, and may be expected to arrive hero early* in October. The steamer, wo believe is intended for the inter-island trade. Tho Agnes Edged, a three-masted schooner was to leave Sydney for hero about the Ist inst. The German ship of war Ariadne arrived iu Sydney on the IHth of August. The German barque Elizabeth will go from Sydney to Auckland, and then to this port, arriving about the cud of this month. The schooner Upolu arrived in Sydney from here on tho loth of August, and the Mission brig John Wesley, on tho 16th. The barque Heconnaiasauco loft Sydney oa llie 10til Of August ror rlila fo.V, tho Friendly Islands, therefore she may be expected to arrive at any hour. She has on board, ius passengers, Mrs. Hawkins and child, and Messrs. Desm and Johnson.
