PROTEST.

We, Walter James Hunt, and A.Adair Coubrough, Attorneys for G. J. Smith, and Co., British ' merchants, hereby protest against you. Mr. Andrae, an officer of the ' French man-of-war " Seignelay," from entering our premises with an armed force, or otherwise, without a warrant from the British Consul, as the property is British, and the British Hag floating over the premises. Captain Wright is not on our premises, and on your producing a warrant from the British Consul, we are prepared to allow you to make the search demanded. (Signed Geo. J.
