Excellent weather prevailed for the third day of the Manawatu meeting. The totalisator handled £32,615, as against £23,844 last year, the total for the meeting being £105,709. Further results:— Clandeboye Welter.—Otter 1, Carillon 2, Rockbound 3. Also started: Marsinah. Won by two lengths. Liverpool Handicap.—s Red Ribbon 1, 2 Client 2, 3 Bon Revo 3. Also started: 3 Gold Soult, 2 Bronk Delaval, ,7 Devotion, 6 Rose Pink. Won by one and a half lengths. Time, 1.54.
Westbury Hack Handicap.—s Golden Glade i, 6 Merrie Poto 2, 4 Lady Edith 3. Also started: 2 Coropet, 1 Comment, 7 The Baronet, 3 Hupana, 12 Nenno, 10 Sabana, 9 Goldbearing, 8 Liberty, 11 Westella. Won by two and a half lengths. Time 1.2. Camp Handicap.—4 Ladify 1, 1 Ararat 2, 3 Dribble 3. Also started : 2 Pearl Marie, 6 Roumania, 5 Mysteriai'ch, 7 Prince Laddo. Won by two and a half lengths. December 29. The Auckland races were continued in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance. Totalisator investments were £55,196 10s, as against £50,381 10s last year, an increase of £4815. Additional results were as follow: Summer Cup.—King Lupin (Robinson), 1; 1 Bisogne, 2; 3 John Barleycorn, 3. Also started: 6 Marc Antony, 2 Wishful, 6 Tepapapa, 7 Good Hope. Won all the way by a head, the third horse half a length away Time, 2.7 2-5.

A Sydney press message states that the Australian Jockey Club has decided to send a commission to New Zealand to report on the total isator machines.
